Orchard Types We Prune

• Apple orchards — Spur pruning, heading cuts, canopy size management for fresh market and processing. We work in both traditional tall-spindle and newer high-density systems.
• Pear orchards — Structural and renewal pruning for Bosc, Bartlett, Anjou, and other varieties. Oregon's pear country in the Hood River valley and the south valley both.
• Hazelnut orchards — Oregon grows 99% of the US hazelnut crop, and managing Eastern Filbert Blight through proper pruning is part of the operation. Our crews understand EFB protocol.
• Cherry orchards — Sweet and sour cherry pruning for size management and structural development. Timing is especially important for disease management in cherries.

Oregon Pruning Season — Don't Wait Until February

The dormant window is November through March, but the practical window is shorter once you account for weather and crew availability. Most growers who've called us in January wanting a February start have gotten what they needed. Most growers who've called in February haven't. Book early.
